A proficient user of the ECS WIS software, should be able to utilize 10 core skills:

1. Reading and understanding the inspection map

2. Find and load previous reels by date and name

3. Understanding the defect details window

4. Using classes to visually filter the inspection map

5. Know to Zoom and Save images in the defect image window

6. Utilize the measure tool for finding distance between defects

7. Move between WIS and Review

8. Navigate and zoom in the recent defect window

9. Be familiar with the tools on the ribbon menu

10. Understanding the repeating defect window

Operator Proficiency Checklist

1. Select a roll by navigating to a date and selecting a roll ID.

2. Display or hide a defect type in the classification window.

3. Select a defect from the Defect Map to view.

4. Zoom in and Out on the defect in the Defect Image window.

5. Save an image of the defect to the desktop.

6. Load that defect in ECS Review.

WMS Training

Learning how to navigate ECS starts with 10 core principles:

1. Select camera groups to view or customize groups.

2. Restore all cameras to live view.

3. Hide or Reveal the Events Menu. Click on Events to review video.

4. Event options allow you to select event types, refresh, delete, or lock events.

5. Use Home and Camera Groups to navigate between views.

6. Synchronize camera to quickly find the break.

7. Play controls let you playback video, and determine the length.

8. Control video playback speed.

9. Video tools let you go live, bookmark, annotate, save, and export video.

10. View bookmarked images within an event.

Don’t forget to...

...use camera groups to organize cameras in a way that makes isolating the location of a break as easy as possible.

...use Linear Sync to track down your break quickly. After locating a break on every camera as it went through the machine.

...use bookmarks and annotation to make note of significant images. Click on Bookmark View to see all bookmarks and annotations for the current event.
