ECS PRM (Proactive Remote Monitoring) is the software program embedded on the local mill ECS computer that monitors all critical aspects of the system. If the mill has setup a 2-way VPN connection or email server this information can be sent to all camera asset owners.  This means critical performance issues of the WMS or WIS system do not need to wait for operators to report these issues to maintenance.  Immediate corrective actions can be taken.  In addition – all conditions of the installation are logged over the life of the system to determine quality of system availability over time.   

In addition to monitoring the uptime condition of the camera system (asset availability) - the ECS PRM also adds two additional mission critical functions:

• Quality of Uptime – camera cleanliness

• How the system is being used by the operators

  • Are there aspects of the software not being used? Does the mill need to attend an ECS Refresher Course (Virtual Training Session)?

PRM is an excellent tool to understand how the camera system is providing long term value to the paper mill.  It also helps reduce the total cost of ownership by providing constant feedback to mill operations so changes can be made by a combination of the local mill team and remote ECS access assistance (vs sending service personnel onsite). 

This is a free application to the mill.  If the mill would like the performance data sent to the mill ECS will access the system either weekly (PRM 52) or monthly (PRM 12) and send the performance reports to the appropriate mill contacts.  PRM 12 and 52 programs start at $2,400 per asset with discounts for multiple applications (machines) at the mill.
